Congratulations, Talent Competition Winners!

The Bwgcolman Talent Show was held on 13 October, showcasing some of the many talents of children and youth in the community. The show was held for Mental Health Week as an activity encouraging young people in the Palm Island community to identify their strengths and talents and to develop the confidence to share them. 

Ninety people attended on the night and were treated to a film screening of the entries in the outdoor area of the Children and Family Centre. Ten entries were shown, with skills on display including singing, dancing and acrobatics. The judges had a difficult task in choosing winners.

The winners were:

First place—Pamela Johnson and Montasha Shortjoe

Second place—Ashanti Oui and Tishona Murgha

Third place—Kalani Geia

Fourth place—Craig DeSatge.
